Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Jade LeMac shares a live session video for her latest single, “Meet You In Hell.” The stripped-down version introduces the artist in a different light from the original pop cut for an organic listen. The live session release also comes alongside LeMac’s announcement of her debut EP, Constellations which is due February 10, 2023
The one-take visual centers LeMac’s vocals, words, and self around an acoustic and dim-lit backdrop at Armoury Studios in Vancouver. There’s enough space on this version to truly appreciate LeMac’s vocals and range, taking an empathetic approach. LeMac’s waterfall vocal runs sweetly wrap the track while her gravelly verses are thick in assertion at a lower register.
The live version complements the original and suggests the possibilities that are to come on the artist’s debut EP. With press accolades such as GLAAD’s “20 under 20” LGBTQ Changemakers of 2022, Jade LeMac continues to be a new artist to watch.
