NextFest LA Spotlights Emerging Talent at LA County Fair, Pomona Fairplex

NextFest LA is a new indie festival making its debut at the LA County Fair every weekend this May at the Pomona Fairplex.

As the LA County Fair celebrates 100 years with a “Back To Our Roots” theme, NextFest LA will introduce itself as a new indie festival that aims to uplift all sounds while calling back those very roots.

Occurring every weekend in May (Friday-Sunday), NextFest LA will bring emerging artists into the spotlight across 4 stages on the Pomona Fairplex grounds : The Lagoon Stage, The Farm Stage, The Plaza Stage and The Community Stage.

Kicking off NextFest LA’s inaugural toast on May 5, the first weekend of artists ranges from the ska and Latin sounds of Maria Blues; Boyle Heights’ Cumbiaton; to the Los Angeles-based Selena tribute band, Selenamos, whereas curated stages such as MYX’s partnership on May 7 shares acts of Filipino American heritage.

Additional featured performances include a DJ set by Mayer Hawthorne, The Voxes, Alfred Nomad, Danie, The Little Miss, Cate Tomlinson, Reyna Tropical, The Boombap Kids, and the best No Doubt tribute band, No Duh.

In addition to the fair’s concert series, May is slated for an eclectic array of talent spanning over 200 acts, DJs, and more scheduled to perform. Full schedule of NextFest LA’s artists can be found on their website.

Celebrate NextFest LA at the LA County Fair all throughout May. The indie festival is included in a weekend or season pass which can be purchased through the fair’s website.
