For more than a century, International Women’s Day has been famed across the globe to not only act as a call to action for women’s rights, but to also come forward as a celebration of social, cultural, political, and economic achievements of women. For 2020, IWD’s theme is simple: #EachforEqual.
“Equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue,” states the International Women’s Day website. “Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive. A gender equal world can be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious – so what’s not great about that?”
With a striking call this year, the #EachforEqual POSE further implements the universal philosophy that goes beyond the term “feminist.”
We like to think we celebrate women everyday on GUM, but here are some favorite artists from the site across genres to celebrate.
