Long Beach’s Alex’s Bar will be celebrating 20 years this month and toast the milestone January 24-25 with a slew of decorated artists. The local venue that has been not only a stepping stone for local artists but one that is worth noting beyond the community, is proof that live music will never die.
On Friday, January 24 the night holds Mariachi El Bronx, Mike Watt + The Secondmen, and Nina Diaz, while January 25 sees the return of The Bronx, The Creepy Creeps, and The Schizophonics. While it seems that day two is sold out, there are few left for Friday. Each show is 21+ and over, $25, and starts at 8 p.m.
