LOVER’s latest single “Starving” features articulate layers and instrumentation giving us a first taste of the Australian artist’s debut EP. The single unravels in a daze as the vocalist explores the abundant range of his voice. “Starving” is a compelling departure from a typical indie track; dazzling in radiant keys and lively brasswork, LOVER activates a variety of musical agents making for a rich composition. Coming in under three minutes, “Starving” keeps us wanting more.

The accompanying video further adds to LOVER’s sonic vision. Taking from 50 different scenes and countless hours of shooting, the visual breathes further life into the playful song. From a viewer’s perspective, LOVER accentuates moments seen in everyday life, placing himself among these nonchalant scenarios creating a consistent and brilliant narrative.
