Padre John Misty has teamed up with festival giants, Goldenvoice, to present The California Wildfires Benefit Concert at The Ace Hotel, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 8 p.m. The all ages event will feature performances from Father John Misty, HAIM, Jeff Bhasker, Jonathan Wilson, Lucius, Mac DeMarco, Nate Ruess, Rivers Cuomo, Rostam, Tim Heidecker, Weyes Blood and special guests.
As stated from Goldenvoice’s press release, “Net proceeds will go to The Southern California Disaster Relief Fund, which supports low-income families whose lives and livelihoods are affected by the current wildfires in Southern California. Created by United Way of Greater Los Angeles, in partnership with United Way of Ventura County, the fund primarily provides longer-term support to help low-income individuals and families rebuild their lives.”
In addition of benefiting the disaster left from So.Cal’s Wildfires — which burned 1,500 structures and damaged 341 by late November, displacing many families — prospective attendees may also place bids on front row tickets through CharityBuzz. The intended package includes a commemorative show poster signed by participating artists and a one night stay at the Ace Hotel (check-in Dec 18, 2018, checkout Dec 19, 2018).
For fans who won’t attend but would still like to donate, they may do so by visiting Untied Way LA‘s site (enter ACEBENEFIT in section labeled “This Donation is on behalf of” in order to be reported into this total), or text ACEBENEFIT to 41444.
Additional sponsors include Lyft, who is the official rideshare partner for this event, and Steinway & Sons will be donating a piano for use at the event.
Tickets go on sale, Friday December 7th at 10 a.m. through AXS.com.
