HER FEST Aims to Break Statistics, Weighing as Yorkshire’s First All-Female Fest

Come Play With Me, HER Music PR and Brighter Sound have teamed up to present a truly talented bill, boasting and celebrating the diverse women in the music community emerging from the UK.

Yorkshire’s first all-female fest, rightfully dubbed HER FEST, is ready to make waves at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, on October 20th 2018 and will continue on November 3rd in Sheffield at The Picture House. Come Play With Me, HER Music PR and Brighter Sound have teamed up to present a truly talented bill, boasting and celebrating the diverse women in the music community emerging from the UK. Taking into consideration that 2017 statistics unveiled that only 14% were women acts across UK festivals, the initial notion to change this for 2018, and keep the conversation’s momentum, became an essential piece of the festival.

With Liverpool’s Stealing Sheep and London’s The Tuts headlining the event — among Dead Naked Hippies, She Drew the Gun, and Park Fires — the festival’s eclectic range of sounds will sure to ignite and inspire, while celebrating women. To get a taste of what is to come, stream the fest’s playlist below and be sure to support the talented bill in front and behind the scenes of HER FEST.
