Hayden James’ ‘Just Friends’ Receives Romantic Visual Companion

Hayden James' most recent slice of lush electronica “Just Friends” features the warm melodies of Boy Matthews and further evolves the producer’s compelling pop sound.

With infectious melodies and bubbly electronic tones, one can’t mistake Hayden James’ signature sound. The singer/songwriter and producer offers up rich synthesizers, incorporating subtle house and R&B in his intricate compositions. His most recent slice of lush electronica “Just Friends” features the warm melodies of Boy Matthews and further evolves the producer’s compelling pop sound.

Expanding upon the single’s success, James releases the visual companion hoping to resonate with listeners the yearning lyrics in the track. Directed by LA-based cinematographer Sean Nunley, the video focuses on a burgeoning romance between two lovers, further giving context to the song’s narrative. Taking viewers on several romantic settings from the getaway beaches of Malibu to the sun setting over Santa Monica pier, the visual captivates the viewer and makes us wonder what will become of the young couple.

The music video release follows the wide success of “Just Friends” released in May, already amassing over 20 million streams worldwide. As we continue to play out the single, we can’t wait to hear more from the Aussie producer.
