Big Wild presents his latest project, “Ascension” a collaboration with label Foreign Family Collective and visual artists “The Yazuki”. The cinematic track scores a CGI produced video, taking the viewer on a journey of the dangers of our mechanical reality. Portraying advancements in technology, and the detrimental affects it has on our natural world, the video isn’t short of making a bold statement about our near future. As Big Wild accounts:
“This art piece tells the story of an advanced society that’s become so mechanized and ruled by technology that it’s neglected the natural environment, which it in turn has to now rebuild. The painful irony of this situation brings to question our infatuation with technology and an increasing detachment from the natural world.
We wanted to create our own world and convey a simple but powerful message. I really wanted to experiment musically and collaborate with visual artists to create something unique.”
With the producer tapping into an unexplored area of dark tones and heavy production, “Ascension” takes Big Wild’s sound into an intriguing new direction. From the echoing chorus, to the building anticipation of the synths, the producer’s song provides a monumental and haunting soundtrack to the visual.
