Los Angeles sweetheart, Veronica Bianqui, shifts her songwriting and sensuality onto another playing field with her latest track “Sunday Cups.” Bianqui radiates a relaxed amount of confidence throughout the brassy calmness that echos a mild dosage of garage styling. The track’s rhythm section takes center stage as Bianqui steps out of the restraints of traditional psych-pop and dips her toes into a stream of bluesy, mod-rock.
“This song represents my newer approach in writing more stripped down, sparse songs. I also wanted to try something different by bringing in Nina and Tatiana on backup vocals, as opposed to singing them myself like in my other tracks,” explains Bianqui.

“The lyrics are essentially a tongue-in-cheek criticism about the social pressures many of us feel sometimes to not put our emotions on display. Often we hide what we are really feeling for fear of stigma, and we keep our emotions contained.”
Keeping “Sunday Cups” on a flat-line of sophisticated freshness, Nina and Tatiana’s backup vocals compliment the brisk, yet playful edge of Bianqui’s tone. Freely skidding around the track’s lyrical intent, Bianqui’s lively act of criticism and confidence reflect pop and brass and overall serve a delicious amount of conscious melodies.
