The Shacks Wander and Entice Down a Hazy Rabbit Hole on ‘Follow Me’

The NYC collective return with a dreamy and hopefully sound.

Circulating with vintage vibes, The Shacks latest release doesn’t stray far away from previous sounds but unveil a chiseled, more refined construction. “Follow Me” easily becomes a dream filled with smoky lights that seems impossible to not fall in love with. Taken into a meditative state of bliss, frontwoman Shannon Wise guides a listener from beginning to end into a simplistic haze of hope and wonder.

Breathy vocals repeat, “we’re already friends / so I’ll take the lead / I hope you’ll follow me” and plant the seed of simplistic hope. Crunchy drums add the right amount of weight to the ambiance created intertwined within the groovy and upbeat delivery of the bass.

“Follow Me” is the first single off The Shacks’ debut full-length Haze out March 30th via Big Crown Records.
