The Pale White ‘Downer’

Newcastle trio, The Pale White, raise anticipation for their EP on their latest indie-rock video "Downer."

Newcastle trio, The Pale White — Adam Hope (vocals/guitar), Jack Hope (drums) and Tom Booth (bass) — continue to break out on the U.K. music scene with their latest video “Downer” gearing towards their anticipated self-titled EP, set to be released September 29th.

The live performance video heighten the peak of the indie-rock track through various intimate shots only focusing on the members and their inclusion within their instruments. Led by Hope’s dark-wave vocals, “Downer” becomes a refined, youthful rebellion that explodes as it builds but grounds subtly through addictive power chords. Blending this approach, as well as vocally, through a clean indie-rock sound, “Downer” still manages to hold traces of new wave to our delight.

Painted with this slightly darker shade, The Pale White’s grainy and black and white aesthetic portrayed on “Downer” acts more as a loud introduction to the trio’s sound; strong, loud, and to the point.

The Pale White are heading out on a 10-date UK tour as main support for The Amazons in October.
