Hailing from Long Island, New York, WILDPICKETTS emerge with their jazz-fused, and alternative rock sound for indie lovers who wish to expand their musical palette. Off of their debut EP, Dancing In My Mind, the self-titled track is raw, with great instrumentation, and breaks, all carried out by a playful demeanor.
Opening with a strong progressive rock sound, the track takes a directional change with their jazz-fusion implantation. High falsettos, followed by horns, and an array of background vocals, bring the track to life. What stands out about “Dancing in My Mind” are their use of sounds. WILDPICKETTS aren’t afraid to mesh sounds. The collaboration with indie, and jazz, stick true to their own sound, while creating something pleasing to the ear.
