Connecticut based singer/songwriter, Charlie Brennan, released his latest single “Let Me Be” February 26th, this year. Since then, “Let Me Be” has been doing well enough to crack the iTunes Top 100 in pop during its first week. The mellow tune is about breaking up when you aren’t ready for the relationship to end. The song starts with upbeat synth and melancholic chords on piano, demonstrating the conflict depicted in “Let Me Be” from the beginning.
“Let Me Be” keeps to the tone of Brennan’s last album, “Letters,” while still promising more for whatever comes next. Hopefully, this song is a glimpse at Brennan’s next project.
