Vintage indie-rock has resurfaced and is presented in a refreshing light, with unique tempo switches, on the track, “Lord Knows I Don’t Care,” by Dead Men Talking, from Portland, OR. Indie-rockers- Corey Distler (piano, guitar, vocals), Max Lilien (drums), and Casey Becker (bass)- provide one of the best singles to display their sound, that is a little rough on the edges, but properly showcases how talented the individual’s creativity can range from.
Audible influences come from an earlier generation, such as the 60s and 70s, yet Dead Men Talking, provide their modern take that allows their sound to not drown amongst the rest. “Lord Knows I Don’t Care,” is an addicting sound wave of a ride, with smooth blends between their tempo switches, and adds a splash of funky blues to a modern indie-rock sound.
